I installed the PRP kit a few nights ago and it made it feel like a completely different trigger.Īfter I got my. In my experience this is spot on in all areas except one. That is one thing that makes it a keeper to me. I can say one thing, I have never seen another small gun shoot as good as the XDS. I wasn't going to send the gun in at all but I find myself weakening and may just go ahead and do it for resale value if I decide to sell it someday. I do know if you bend a particular spring (I think it is the grip safety spring) you improve the trigger but I would be a tough call to get any upgraded trigger as good as mine is now. I think they may have changed the sear/striker relationship but who knows for sure.

I did install one on a friend's XDS last week and even after shining all moving parts before putting it back together, I still though the trigger was crap. Many on the XDS forum state that after installing a PRP spring kit the trigger is greatly improved. I have pulled the trigger on a few upgraded XDS's and do not like it at all. If I read it correctly, Springfield had to modify his gun to get it to double again but the lawyers kicked in and they decided to do a "voluntary" recall which shortly turned into a, don't use the gun until it has been upgraded, recall. Some guy said the gun doubled on him and he sent it back to Springfield. The trigger is gunsmith quality as it is now and I have not yet sent it out for the so called "update" that I feel is bogus anyhow.
